A little over a week remains of Governor Jay Inslee’s Stay-At-Home Executive Order extension … The initial duration was to expire on April 6th, but extended to May 4th, Monday. A #ManicMonday nonetheless! Also, it’s Star Wars Day: May The Fourth Be With You.
Washingtonians are divided over their opinion on the subject.
In My Humble Opinion…
Spaceship Earth has been irrevocably changed by the COVID-19 #pandemic, IMHO [In My Humble Opinion] I didn’t believe there was a ‘normal’ to return to, let alone accepting a ‘new normal’.
You see, humans have hotly debated whether we classify ourselves as apex predators, and a hyper keystone species. That makes us very unique creatures on this planet, because whether we’re apex predators, keystone species and/or both, it’s agreed we really don’t have predators above us in the food chain.
That tells me, that one of our few enemies / weaknesses we have other than each other … is disease, such as SARS-CoV-2 which causes COVID-19. Disease is nondiscriminatory on which human it afflicts, especially COVID-19.

Thankfully one of our greatest strengths is our ability to adapt quickly to a changed environment. IMHO, whether the May 4th stay-at-home Executive Order is lifted as a dial or flipped like a switch, we’ll continue with an adapted way of interacting with one another.
If anything is the ‘new normal‘, that … that will be it.
Back To Business
Again in my humble opinion, Governor Jay Inslee will not lift the stay-at-home order. In fact, he’ll extend it into June, then July, finally August, before anyone can declare back to business as ‘normal’.
What do you think, Spaceship Earth? My fellow Washingtonians, are we gonna see a dialed back stay-at-home order starting May 5th?
I’d love to read your thoughts.
Until then, be good like you should, and if you can’t be good … be good at what you do.
