(Nikolas) Tesla Day

⚡Tesla Day and the Clockwork World That Could’ve Been

Every July 10th, steampunkers, inventors, time-travelers, and dreamers tip their goggles to Nikola Tesla—one of the most brilliant minds this world ever produced!

Tesla Day is technically about the man’s contributions to electricity, radio, and AC power (yes, that AC), but for me, it’s also about something bigger:

It’s about imagination.

It’s about “what if.”

🔩 The Steampunk Connection

You see, I’ve long had a soft spot (okay, obsession) for the steampunk genre—where steam power reigns, gears click in rhythm, and the world runs on Victorian innovation instead of fossil fuel. In this alternate universe, Tesla isn’t just a scientist—he’s a legendary engineer, a wizard of current, a godfather of gear-driven possibility.

Steampunk is an aesthetic, yes—but it’s also a vibe. It’s brass goggles with a purpose. It’s long coats and layered vests, wind-up contraptions, and impossible machines. It’s about a future that never happened, but still kind of could have.

Tesla fits right in.

⚙️ My Kind of Style

I love everything about steampunk—the burnished tones of copper and brass, the intricate detailing of polished silver next to aged wood, leather straps next to pocket watches. There’s something romantic, almost rebellious, in the way it imagines a world running on imagination instead of crude oil.

I like to think Tesla would’ve approved. After all, he once dreamed of powering the world wirelessly from a single tower. Tell me that’s not some high-end, gear-spun fantasy waiting to happen.

🚂 Ride the Lightning

So on July 10th, I don’t just raise a glass to Nikola Tesla—I raise a wrench, a monocle, and a half-formed sketch of my next impossible invention.

Because in the steampunk world, everything is possible.
